# External Chains Support

Hinkal's private balance lives on its [supported chains](/hinkal/ecosystem/supported-chains.md), but bridged sends can land on a wider set of networks. When bridging from a public balance - a public send with bridge, or a public swap with bridge - you can choose a recipient network from the external chains below, even though Hinkal has no contract deployed there.

**External chains:**

* Avalanche
* Cronos
* Monad
* Plasma
* Ink
* HyperEVM

**What external means**

Funds arrive on the external chain as a standard on-chain transfer to the recipient's address. Hinkal's private balance, shielding, and private sends are not available on these networks - they are destinations only. To hold or move funds privately, the recipient should bridge back to a supported chain.
