# Fees and Revenue Share

How your fee is added to what users pay, which transactions earn, and how commission is calculated.

Your fee is added on top of Hinkal's, and the user pays both.

* **Hinkal fee:** 10 bps.
* **Your fee:** 0–100 bps in whole numbers, set in [Settings](/hinkal/hinkal-partner/settings-and-security.md#partner-fee) or on the [Go-live card](/hinkal/hinkal-partner/getting-started/go-live.md).
* **Flat fee:** covers network and relaying costs. It's the `feeAmount` that `GET /get-fee` returns.

1 bps is 0.01%, so the percentage part is at most 110 bps (1.1%).

* The fee is set **per company**, not per key.
* Only Owners and Admins can change it, after a [recent sign-in](/hinkal/hinkal-partner/settings-and-security.md#recent-sign-in).
* A change applies to new transactions once it [reaches the API](/hinkal/hinkal-partner/api-keys.md#when-changes-reach-the-api). Past transactions keep the fee they ran with.
* The fee starts unset, which counts as 0.

### What earns

| Transaction | Counts toward volume | Earns your fee |
| --------------------------------------------- | -------------------- | -------------- |
| Withdraw                                      | ✅                    | ✅              |
| Transfer                                      | ✅                    | ✅              |
| Swap                                          | ✅                    | ✅              |
| Private send, private send bridge             | ✅                    | ✅              |
| Deposit, deposit for other, proofless deposit | ✅                    | ❌              |
| Receive-vault recovery                        | ✅                    | ❌              |

* **Swaps:** the fee comes out of the **output token**, and only the output amount counts as volume.
* **Private sends:** the fee is added on top, so each recipient gets the full amount. Each completed payout is its own record. See [Private Send](/hinkal/hinkal-api/description/private-send.md) and [Private Send Bridge](/hinkal/hinkal-api/description/private-send-bridge.md) for the API flows.
* **Deposits and recoveries** are free for users, so there's nothing to share.

### Worked example

A user withdraws $1,000 of USDC through your integration. Your fee is 25 bps.

```
Percentage fee   10 bps (Hinkal) + 25 bps (you) = 35 bps
User pays        ≈ $3.51 + flat fee
You earn         $1,000 × 25 ÷ 10,000 = $2.50
Hinkal keeps     ≈ $1.01
```

On EVM chains and Tron the fee is grossed up so the recipient gets exactly $1,000, which is why the user pays a little over 35 bps of $1,000. On Solana there's no gross-up: the user pays exactly $3.50 plus the flat fee, and Hinkal keeps $1.00.

Your commission is always `amount × your fee ÷ 10,000`, counted in the token the transaction used. See [Earnings and Payouts](/hinkal/hinkal-partner/earnings-and-payouts.md).

### Setting the fee

Enter a whole number from 0 to 100 in **Settings → Partner fee** and choose **Save**. As you type, the field shows what you'd earn on $1,000. Anything else shows *Enter a whole number between 0 and 100 bps.* and **Save** stays disabled.

To check the fee the API is applying, call `GET /get-fee` with your key and read `partnerFeeBps`.
