Product Architecture

The Hinkal decouples privacy from the user interface, allowing for seamless integration across the Web3 ecosystem.

1. The Core Infrastructure (The SDK)

The SDK is the primary engine of Hinkal, designed for institutions that require privacy without replacing their current technology stack.

  • Plug-and-Play Privacy: Integrates with existing MPC/custody providers, treasury systems, and internal financial tooling.

  • Confidential Transfer Logic: Allows applications to trigger shielded transfers programmatically where metadata, such as sender/recipient identity and amounts, are encrypted on-chain.

  • Private Asset Holding: Enables assets to be managed in a shielded state, protecting treasury balances from public observation.

2. The Reference Implementation (The Wallet)

The Hinkal Wallet serves as the "face" of the infrastructure, providing a beautiful and familiar user experience to demonstrate what is possible.

  • Functional Showcase: It provides a live environment for users to test confidential "Incognito" flows, swaps, and transfers.

  • User Experience (UX) Blueprint: Proves that protocol-level privacy can be achieved without the complexity typically associated with zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs.

  • Non-Requirement: While the wallet highlights the system's power, it is not required for protocol interaction; all functionality is accessible via the SDK for external integration.

3. Institutional Safeguards & Compliance

Privacy at Hinkal is built on a foundation of integrity to ensure it remains a viable tool for regulated entities.

  • KYT & Pool Integrity: Real-time smart-contract level screening via Chainalysis blocks illicit actors from contaminating the shielded pool.

  • Selective Disclosure: Users maintain viewing keys to provide auditors or regulators with granular transaction histories when required.

  • zkTLS Verification: High-value deposits undergo privacy-preserving verification of exchange ownership to mitigate risk without compromising user data.
